A funding-milestone prototype was developed for a cellular therapy device. The system produces immuno-therapeutics and dendritic cell-based vaccines. Project scope included mechanical engineering, system block diagram development and simplification, actuator selection and testing, CAD, prototype fabrication and assembly.
A high-performance, portable air purifier was developed for consumer use, providing air purification at levels 3000X that of HEPA standards. Project scope included full mechanical design of the purifier and the three-stage particle filter set, cost optimization, acoustic testing, three prototype cycles, DFM, and production validation.
A cartridge-based system was developed for the collection, metering, and preparation of a PCR specimen sample. Project scope included concept development, prototyping, testing, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and high-volume sourcing. Mechanical design support for the processing instrument was also provided.
